Electronic soundscapes, drone and dark ambient from Sweden, since 2012About
Oscillotron is the solo project of Swedish musician David Johansson, frontman of the doom/sludge band Kongh since 2004 and touring guitarist of Cult of Luna between 2013 and 2019.
Founded in 2012 as an outlet to explore horror, electronic music, ambient and analogue synths, Oscillotron released two albums on CD/LP through Cineploit, Eclipse (2012) and Cataclysm (2016), and played a handful of shows, including opening for Perturbator on their first Swedish show in 2016. Then came a long hiatus.
Oscillotron returned in 2024 with Oblivion, a single 60-minute track of drone doom and extreme minimalism. 2025 brought the minimalist dark ambient EP Cenotaph, the eerie, horror-tinged album Sniezna, and a full new mix and deluxe edition of the debut, Eclipse.
AXIOM brings all of it together: drone doom, heavy electronic prog and ambient, run through a cold, dystopian, synthetic filter.
