OSCILLOTRON – AXIOM
New album out Friday 16 October 2026
Self-released · Digital: Bandcamp, all streaming services, and a 1-hour audiovisual version on YouTube

AXIOM is the new album from Oscillotron, the solo project of Swedish musician David Johansson. 60 minutes of dystopian drones and synthetic soundscapes, accompanied by a 20-minute Bandcamp-exclusive bonus demo track from 2024 — the raw beginning of the AXIOM project.

AXIOM brings together every side of Oscillotron so far: drone doom, heavy synth-driven prog and ambient, woven together through a cold, dystopian, synthetic filter. The album is built around long-form pieces, from the 12-minute "Prime Neuron Disintegration" to the 20-minute centrepiece "Colossal Suspended Tensor Nexus".

ABOUT OSCILLOTRON
David Johansson is the frontman of Swedish doom/sludge band Kongh and a former touring member of Cult of Luna. He founded Oscillotron in 2012 as an outlet to explore horror, electronic music, ambient and analogue synths. Two albums followed on CD/LP through Cineploit, Eclipse (2013) and Cataclysm (2016), along with a handful of shows, including opening for Perturbator on their first Swedish show in 2016. Then came a long hiatus.

Oscillotron returned in 2024 with Oblivion, an extreme and experimental album built on drone doom and extreme minimalism. 2025 was a productive year: the Cenotaph EP (minimalist electronic dark ambient), the album Sniezna (eerie, atmospheric, horror-influenced) and a full new mix and deluxe edition of the debut, Eclipse. AXIOM is a mix of all of it.
